The Story of Our Church

Our congregaton formed September 4, 1910. Please bear with me as we begin to write the story of the church. This will begin in earnest close to the first of June.

To the right is the logo of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). (Actually the logo should be bright red however came out blue when it was uploaded.) It is a simple red chalice bearing the Cross of St.Andrew across the left side of th bowl. The corss of St. Andrew, national cross of Scotland focuses attention on the Presbyterian roots of the Christan Church (Disciples of Christ). Alexnder and Thomas Campbel, founders, were of Presbyterian background. The red clor signifies vitality, spirit and sacrifice.

Next time we will put in a picture of our church and see what color Blogspot decides to use.
